Ohio Voters bring Judgment upon Themselves

9 November 2023

“For every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire.” (Deuteronomy 12:31).

Earlier this week 57% of voters in Ohio approved an amendment to the state’s constitution which guarantees a woman's right to murder her own children by fobidding the state's government from in any way “burdening, penalizing, or prohibiting” this so-called right. Since Roe v Wade was overturned last year, pro-abortion ballots have now passed in all 7 states where the people have voted on them.

The fact that the majority of the population support such a heinous abomination is evidence of mass apostasy in Ohio. The people of Ohio have brought judgment upon themselves by voting for this abomination and the Pactum Institute can only hope that this judgment effectuates covenantal repentance followed by faithful obedience to the precepts of God’s Law as revealed in Scripture—a Law which the Second Helvetic Confession (1566) describes as containing “the whole will of God and all necessary precepts for every sphere of life.”
